Scheduling & Pre-Visit Walkthrough

System Inspection on Arrival
Before any equipment is connected, our technician walks the system with you: checking register locations, identifying the main trunk line, locating the air handler, and noting any access restrictions. We photograph the condition of accessible duct runs before cleaning begins.
Negative Pressure Setup
We connect our truck-mounted vacuum unit to the main trunk line via a large-diameter hose run through a door or window (sealed with foam to minimize heat or cool air loss). This creates a continuous negative pressure environment — everything we dislodge gets pulled toward the collection unit, not released into the home.
Mechanical Agitation of Each Duct Run
Every supply and return duct run is individually addressed. We use rotating brush equipment inserted through each register to mechanically agitate the dust mat from duct walls. Agitation + negative pressure is the only combination that removes bonded debris — compressed air alone or vacuuming alone does not achieve the same result.
Register & Grille Cleaning
Each register cover is removed, cleaned of dust and debris, and reinstalled. Boot areas — the connection point between the duct and the register — receive focused attention, as this is where debris tends to concentrate.
Main Trunk & Plenum Cleaning
The supply plenum (the central distribution box connected to the furnace/air handler) and return air plenum are cleaned last, after all branch duct debris has been pulled toward the collection point. This sequencing prevents re-contamination of cleaned runs.
Optional Sanitizer Application
If mold, bacteria, or persistent odors were identified, we apply an EPA-registered sanitizing agent to interior duct surfaces. We discuss this option with you before applying — it’s never added without your knowledge or agreement.
Post-Cleaning Inspection & Documentation
We walk the system again after cleaning, take post-cleaning photographs of previously documented areas, and show you the results. You see what we found and what changed. Our collection debris is sealed and removed from your property — we don’t leave the mess behind.
